Kylee Saunders is your typical Arizona teenager. Or at least she used to be.

The 16-year old high school junior lives a double life reminiscent of Miley Cyrus' famed Disney character, Hannah Montana. By week, she's a normal student, but on four day weekends Saunders travels with her mother to Japan, where she is a bona fide super star.

"It's amazing cause I get to have two separate lives I guess you could say," She says in an appearance on "Today." "Whenever I go to school in Arizona I can just be normal and hang out with friends and family, and I have singing in another country -- in Japan -- which I love, so it's really awesome."

Awesome indeed, except for the fact that she just appeared on national television in the U.S. So that whole "Hannah Montana" schtick? Looks like it's officially up. Whoops.

Girlfriend knows just what she's doing, though. This is a perfect launching point for a pop tart career stateside -- exactly what she's aiming for.

"That would be a dream come true," she says of expanding her career to the U.S. "I would love to be able to not have to go to Japan all the time. I'd be able to do Japan and the States, that'd be awesome." A different kind of awesome from the former, we presume.

She's cute, talented and fluent in both English and Japanese -- Disney execs are bound to be falling all over themselves trying to grab a piece of this girl. Let the madness begin.

Miley Cyrus has reportedly acquired a new boyfriend, thanks to an extremely unlikely matchmaker. It seems that when the former Hannah Montana star heard that Patrick Schwarzenegger, son of former California governator and Maria Shriver, was crushing on her big-time, she did what any girl would do. She asked a mutual friend for his phone number. That mutual friend was none other than Justin Bieber's girlfriend, The Wizards of Waverly Place star, Selena Gomez.
Needless to say, 17-year-old Patrick S. was surprised and thrilled to receive a call from his ultimate crush, Miley Cyrus. The two teens met for lunch in Malibu last month, and since then, they've had several "coffee dates."

"Miley is looking to rope Patrick into a full-fledged romance," claims an inside source.

And what do the famous teens' ultra famous parental units think of their possibly budding romance? Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus are allegedly thrilled. They see Patrick as "the kind of stable guy Miley needs." Unfortunately, the Schwarzeneggers don't share their enthusiasm. According to reports, she was sharing this emotional involvement with Hannah Montana or Miley Cyrus, depending on which personality she is wearing at the time. A statement alleges that both women were in love and obsessed with getting married to Nick Jonas. Selena Gomez has revealed in the interview with “Seventeen Magazine” that she remains unsure about the nature of true love! However, she also admitted that she had “really strong” feelings for Nick Jonas.Whatever Nick Jonas has, perhaps it could be bottled and sold over the counter to lesser mortals, because it must be something very special. Stirring the Hannah Montana plot a bit more; these are two highly formidable and talented stars in their own right and probably used to getting their own way in most things. Teen sensation Miley Cyrus never seems to be more than a day away from controversy and widespread media attention, with today being no exception. The star of hit show Hannah Montana has attracted criticism for playing the part of a wholesome, religious tourist, less than 24 hours after a rather raunchy performance on stage during a concert in Paraguay.

The singer was snapped by photographers as she and her family visited Rio De Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer statue in order to watch the sunset.Her modest and respectful clothing was noted as starkly contrasting with the image she had portrayed on stage the previous evening, which included the wearing of leather pants, a studded bra and suspenders during the performance. Leaving her clean-cut, ‘all-American’ Hannah Montana persona firmly in the past, it cannot be denied that her current tour has become increasingly explicit.

However, Miley has hit back at the critics, stating that the clothes she wears in no way affect or have any bearing on her devotion to the Christian faith. In her words, Miley indicated that the media is always looking for a reason to question her faith, but Christianity does not mean she cannot fully participate in life.

Needless to say, her raunchy image of late has been less than well received by her younger fans, or indeed their parents. The cancellation took First Avenue staffers and even Adele by surprise at her late afternoon sound check.

"She sang two notes and she knew," said First Avenue stage manager Conrad Sverkerson. "Her voice was gone. It was sincere. We sent her right to the doctor."Adele, 23, who has the No. 1 album and single in the United States this week, postponed only her Minneapolis concert. She plans to resume her small-venue U.S. tour Saturday in Denver.

Since she is popular enough to fill arenas, Adele's $27.50 tickets to First Avenue became hot commodities selling for more than $450 on StubHub and Craigslist. At showtime, ticket touts roamed outside the nightclub, hoping to see if any disconsolate fans wanted to unload tickets.

When she'd arrived at First Avenue late Thursday afternoon, she learned her $350 ticket to the hottest concert of the year might be useless. British pop singer Adele, best-selling artist in 2011, had just canceled her evening gig because of laryngitis. Degnan was fretting she'd leave for college in Kansas before the rescheduled concert.

An hour later, the Henry Sibley High senior was "so happy I'm gonna cry." First Avenue's general manager had just stepped outside and announced a new date of June 22. "I'm gonna be here," the 17-year-old from Sunfish Lake proclaimed.The 11th-hour cancellation of the hottest concert ticket since Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana heyday was a shock for fans -- especially since Cities 97 radio had just broadcast an interview with Adele shortly before the cancellation was announced (turns out the interview was taped in October).

Amber Goodspeed, 25, of Duluth, had taken a day and a half off work as a high school English and theater teacher to see Adele. She didn't learn of the postponement until she arrived at First Avenue.

The production High School Rocks, showing at Bedford Corn Exchange on Friday, June 3, is set to liven up the day for fans of Troy, Gabriella, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyress and the Glee club.

Wildcats will be encouraged to sing-a-long and join in as much as possible, with a select few following a dance off competition, chosen to join the cast on stage to shoot hoops. The ‘high school theme is at the centre of an entertainment phenomenon, which has produced several record breaking movies, theatre and television shows around the world.

Disney Reveals "Who Is Hannah Montana?" On New DVD

Who is Hannah Montana? Disney is answering the question once and for all with the release of a brand new DVD.

“Hannah Montana Forever: Who Is Hannah Montana?” selects some of the most memorable moments from the hit Disney Channel’s four hit seasons. There’s eight episodes featured on the DVD for over 3 hours of Miley Cyrus musical comedy mayhem.

Among them are the show’s pilot, “"Lilly, Do You Want to Know a Secret?,” where Hannah reveals herself to her best friend Lilly (Emily Osment) for the first time, and “Achy Jakey Heart,” where Miley reveals her secret to boyfriend Jake (Cody Linley).

In a 1-hour episode from the all-new season of “Hannah Montana Forever,” also featured on the set, the whole world will watch as Hannah loses the wig for good.

If that’s not enticing enough, also included is a first-look at Ashley Tisdale’s return as Sharpay Evans from the “High School Musical” series in her upcoming original movie spin-off, “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.”

“The Last Song,” or, Hannah Montana vs. Human Mortality

Miley Cyrus is a phenomenon and a superstar and a notable icon of North American Have It Your Way-ism, but she is not an especially talented thespian. As star of “The Last Song”, a melodrama written by Nicholas Sparks, the scribe behind “The Notebook” and “A Walk to Remember,” she does okay with surly teenaged charm and even with the weepy scenes, but scenes of dramatic confession and confrontation have an uncomfortable deadness.

It’s not Cyrus’s fault, of course, that Sparks’s dialogue is so lifeless, so full of icky nonsense platitudes. The writing is so unrepentantly tossed-off that whenever characters reveal an intense emotional event from their past, they seem to speak in outline form.
A kid makes a dramatic confession about accidentally starting a fire, “Well, we were behind the church, just playin’ around, and, and drinkin’, and then we started...” Pause.
Authority figure, “Playing with fire?”


		“...Yeah.” The end. The mechanical story structure calls on Cyrus’ protagonist to periodically yell at and push away her heroic, chiseled boyfriend for contrived reasons so that he can come back and kiss her on the beach in different light settings.
Needless to say, it disturbs me that I kind of liked this stupid movie. The reason is that it is, in the end, about death. While the movie is clumsy with many small things, it is surprisingly graceful when it comes to this large thing. Greg Kinnear, as Cyrus’s sincere and lonely father, does well, though he’s saddled with as much treacly

dialogue as everyone else is and does some cutesy mugging as he tries to win Cyrus’ surly teenaged affection. He happens to have cancer, which is a dangerous device, but the movie doesn’t push it; it simply lets us know that this well-meaning older man is dying, and suddenly his sappy advice and corny sense of humor seem quite valuable, like a real person’s. Cyrus and her boyfriend are watching some baby sea turtles scampering out from their eggs when Kinnear collapses—and we get a creepy shot of the baby turtles being engulfed by the ocean. Just before the section of the film that isolates Cyrus and Kinnear in the father’s last days, Cyrus throws one last self-righteous, angry speech at her boyfriend, but then, he tries several times to kiss her while she jerks back, as if infected and afraid. Up to that point, the film has been an intermittently pleasant but awfully gooey ode to teenage romance—but an awareness of death makes the picture-postcard atmosphere more tolerable, even comforting.

Dolly Parton to appear on ‘Hannah Montana’

For decades, too, Dolly Parton has made hit duets with the likes of Kenny Rogers.
Just go ahead and dismiss that and even Dollywood – the entertainer’s namesake theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
To the current crop of elementary-age kids, the big-haired, southern-spoken Parton may be known for one role only – the feisty “Aunt Dolly,” in her appearances on Disney’s “Hannah Montana.”
On screen, Parton has humorously argued with Vicki Lawrence on the sitcom but also provided sage advice to Hannah Montana, portrayed by Miley Cyrus.
Parton is not done yet.
“Yes, I am going to be on ‘Hannah Montana,’ ” Parton said on stage recently at Dollywood. “I am in one of the very last shows that she’s doing – because this is her last season. I play ‘Aunt Dolly.’ ”
And that role, she said, is how kids recognize her. “They don’t even know that I sing,” Parton said, smiling. “They just see me and say, ‘There’s Aunt Dolly. There’s Aunt Dolly.’ ”

MILEY Cyrus will never say goodbye to her Hannah Montana alter-ego. It's not that the teen star can't let go, but she reckons she'll always be remembered for the role.

Although there's no official statement, next year's fourth series of Hannah Montana looks like being the 16-year-old's last.

But she said: "I don't think that's something that's ever going to be completely over. "The show won't just come to an end. There will always be reruns, and I think it's something I'll always want to keep in my life.

"It has put me where I am today." Miley took the role of pop star Hannah Montana, who is also a normal schoolgirl, when she was 13. She is now the main poster pin-up of young girls - with dozens of product endorsements, albums and a movie career.

And this year Forbes magazine ranked her 29th in the list of powerful celebrities in the world.

From Hannah Montana she's branched out under her own name, releasing a mini album, The Time Of Our Lives, on Monday which includes her current No.11 single Party In The USA, her massive hit The Climb and her duet with the Jonas Brothers, Before The Storm.

The album is up against new releases from Robbie Williams and JLS, but if any female can hold their own against the boys it's Miley.

She recently added a fifth lives that this grateful I and London date to her sold-out December tour. Her first London O2 gig is on December 13 and she if will spend Christmas in the UK as she plays Dublin, Birmingham and Manchester.

Sadly there are no Scots dates yet.

Although she turns 17 on November 23, some people are questioning her busy schedule, with a nod towards other child stars Britney Spears and Michael Jackson and how strange their lives became.

Hitting back Miley said: "People will always say that I'm overworking, over exposed and want all this attention. That's not true.

"I just want people to realise that I really am grateful for what I do and I do care about the fans. I can't help if there are 40 photographers outside my house."

Born Destiny Hope in Nashville, Tennessee and nicknamed Smiley (that later became Miley) she first appeared in 2003 on TV series Doc and was also in Tim Burton's film Big Fish.

But far from telling other youngsters to go to college and study to become a doctor or a vet, she said: "Do it, be a freak. Go to Hollywood."

Of course it probably helps that she has a famous dad, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, who had a massive hit in 1992 with Achy Breaky Heart.

But Miley's fame has now totally outshone more her father's and she has become a role model for millions of girls around the world - but don't take the fame thing any further than that.

"I find that if you look at me as a role model I agree with it," she said with a sternness outweighing her years.

"If you look at me as an idol I don't agree. An idol for me is someone that you want to replicate.You want to be them.

"I don't wish that on anyone, to lose what they have personally, because that's when your spark goes.

"What I think people like about me and the way they relate to me is because I don't try to change and I haven't let what I do for a living completely affect me and become my life."

Such sentiments are probably why Miley has been in so much trouble.

She first caused outrage when she posed topless for a Vanity Fair photoshoot aged only 15.

Eyebrows were also raised when she dated Nick wish underwear model Justin Gaston, who was four years older than her.

She was branded racist for pulling a slant-eyed pose for a photo and came across as a spoiled including the a diva brat when she got into a war of words with mission Radiohead after they snubbed her.

Not that the hiccups seem to be scuppering Indonesia her popularity.

As well as releasing music she is also making more in-roads into the movies.

This year she starred in Hannah Montana: was they The Movie and next year she'll be seen in The some Last Song - a role which doesn't sound a million miles away from the character she plays in her Disney television show. She'll also be in the second Sex and the City movie - it's only a cameo, but moves her into a more adult light.

Miley plays herself in the film, causing friction when she turns up on the red carpet in the same dress as Kim Cattrall's character, PR mogul Samantha Jones.

A massive fan of the popular telly show, Miley is beside herself. Currently on her mammoth Wonder World Tour which started in September and hits the 15,261 capacity Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pennsylvania, tonight, she said: "I've always really liked Sex and the City. I think the new film is going to be really cool.

"The cast was just so nice. It's such a friendly set." While Ia such a friendly set."

While being offered a cameo on Sex and the City is a very showbiz notion, the biggest celeb craze of the last five years will have to go on without Miley - she's has quit Twitter. And she's not going back.

Digging her heels in (and giving her fingers a rest) she said:"I wanted to take more time to actually do the things I the full.

"I want to stop talking about things I want to do and actually get out there and do them. "That's going to be my biggest goal, especially when I'm out on the road touring. And I don't feel like I was doing that. So I don't really miss Twitter at all.

"The greatest thing though is being able to stay connected, but that's what phones and emails are for, and you can have private conversations and not have to worry about what other people are going to think or say about it."

Miley, who suffers from a mild form of a heart condition called tachycardia, is currently single after ending her nine-month relationship with Justin Gaston in June.

She had previously been in a relationship with Nick Jonas for two years. But a new man isn't on her NewYear's resolution wish list.

Miley, who has raised millions for charities including City of Hope, Stand Up to Cancer and the DisneyWorldwide Conservation Fund, is also a Christian and church goer and wants to go on a mission in 2010.

She said: "I've been planning going to Indonesia since I was eight.

"It's something I've always wanted to do, and I was never old enough to go with my church when they all headed out there.

"So that's something I definitely want to do at some point."

In a direct response, teen heartthrob Gaston, 20, a former contestant on U.S. show Nashville Star and wannabe country singer, wrote: 'How many tears are in there? They've gotta run out soon right?'

A source close to the couple told People magazine on Tuesday: 'They broke up on Sunday before she left for Savannah.'

The 16-year-old, who has just broken up with her boyfriend, posted a picture of herself on her Twitter page apparently showing her with a new nose piercing.

If genuine it would be a shock for her legions of tweenage six to 14-year-old followers - for whom Miley is held up as a suitable role model.

ROCKAWAY TWP. - Students at the K-5 Dwyer school were greeted by a special visitor as they arrived at school on Friday, March 27, when "Hannah Montana" - also known as Principal Michael McGovern dressed up as the teen star after students raised $300 for charity.

McGovern challenged his students to raise $300 for the "One For Books" campaign sponsored by the Dwyer Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Dwyer families donated $301.

Students then voted at Family Literacy Night for which reward they would get. Other options included eating lunch outside picnic style, a homework pass for all students, or having two student principals for a day. Having McGovern dress as Hannah Montana won by a landslide!

The Dwyer PTA raises money for "One For Books" twice a year as part of the Scholastic Book Fair. The money raised this year, a total of $450, was used to purchase books for The United Through Reading(r) Military Program. The "United Through Reading" Military Program helps ease the stress of separation for military families by having deployed parents read children’s books aloud via DVD for their child to watch at home.

In addition, Scholastic matches the monetary donation and purchases books for their designated charities such as Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc., National Center for Family Literacy, and Toys for Tots.

Miley Cyrus said it felt "crazy" to be on the red carpet in Hollywood for the premiere of her flick Hannah Montana The Movie.

The film sees the teen sensation's character jump from the successful Disney TV series to the big screen.

Wearing a short, dark-green dress with long black boots and a leather jacket, the 16-year-old told reporters that the most exciting part was "finally having the film out in the open, 'cause it's something that I've wanted to do for a long time as I continue to do film".

She added: "It's crazy - I can't believe I'm finally here. I couldn't think of a better place 'cause this is the heart of Disney."

She said her boyfriend model Justin Gaston would be there watching, but "he's letting me do my own thing - he's letting me shine tonight".

Billy Ray Cyrus, her father, also starred as her on-screen dad.

The country singer said: "It's an exciting moment. We've worked very hard to get to this point. The film is very real. It's art imitating life imitating art."

Producer Al Gough described the film as "sort of like a superhero movie for girls really, in that you're dealing with issues of identity and honesty and following your dream, but how much burden do you put on your family. So it's really all sort of there, and Miley is the engine that drives that."
